Anna Higham

Anna has specialised in high value and complex clinical negligence litigation, acting solely for claimants, since qualifying as a solicitor in 2009. She acts for clients who have suffered a range of injuries including catastrophic brain and spinal injury. She is also experienced in claims involving surgical negligence; failures to diagnose/treat strokes or other neurological conditions; fatal claims; orthopaedic injuries; birth injuries to both mother and baby and injuries during the neonatal period.

Anna is adept at helping people to navigate the complexities of the legal system during what is often the most difficult time of their lives and securing a just outcome for the injuries they have suffered.

Anna published an article in the Journal of Personal Injury Law in 2021 considering the position of Lockdown Babies, from a clinical negligence perspective, who were overlooked during the pandemic: “Lockdown Babies, the ‘Baby Blind Spot’ and the Law” J.P.I. Law 2021; 4, 199-208 (subscription required).

Anna represented the successful claimant at trial in Younas v Okeahialam [2019] EWHC 2502 (QB). She has also concluded multi-million pound claims for claimants with spinal injuries and brain injuries, ranging from £1 – £12 million.
