Elinor is a Senior Associate in the Employment and HR Services team, with a particular focus on employee relations. Her caseload is varied and ranges from advising clients on day-to-day employment law issues such as disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence management issues to defending Employment Tribunal claims. Elinor is also experienced in advising on redundancies, reorganisations, and the implications of TUPE. This experience includes attending consultation meetings alongside her clients to provide ‘hands on’ support and assistance.
Having undertaken a secondment within the HR department of a large public sector organisation, she also has first-hand experience of leading on complex employee relation and policy matters and coaching members of the HR team to deal with casework confidently and effectively. Elinor also regularly conducts disciplinary and grievance investigations for a range of clients, both private and public sector bodies.
Elinor is also a member of our Education sector team. She has advised an HE provider on negotiated exits of staff as part of an extensive restructure. She has also assisted education sector clients in the defence of employment tribunal claims, including dealing with complex claims involving whistleblowing, discrimination and safeguarding.
As a fluent Welsh speaker, Elinor is happy to advise on a range of Employment and HR issues through the medium of Welsh.
