APIL accreditation awarded to Military Senior Associate, Nia-Wyn Evans

Nia-Wyn Evans, Senior Associate in the Military team, has been awarded the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) accreditation at Senior Litigator level.

The APIL accreditation is awarded to individuals who can demonstrates they are competent and a specialist when dealing with personal injury claims. It provides a quality mark to help consumers to recognise their expertise.

Nia-Wyn has been working at Hugh James since 2018 and works within the military department on behalf of current and former military personnel suffering with various injuries and illnesses relating their service.

Nia-Wyn heads up the cold injury team and regularly advises clients who have suffered a cold related injury whilst in service.

Nia-Wyn’s career highlight was in April 2022 where she settled multiple cold injury claims for the total settlements of just under £1 million. These claims were initially denied by the Ministry of Defence and settled one month before trial. The Cold Injury team is currently handling over 380 claims on behalf of current and former military personnel from all over the UK.

Nia-Wyn is very passionate about the military community and supports charities such as ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, sits on judging panels for Veterans Awards nationally, and works closely with military organisations such as Veteran Owned UK.

Speaking about receiving her award, Nia-Wyn comments:
