Our Corporate Commercial team has acted on a major transaction in the supported care sector.
The team, led by Partner Greg Williams, assisted by Matt Detheridge, James Guile, Rhiannon Davis and Sali Owens advised on the sale of Partnership of Care (PoC), a leading supported care provider, to Mysa Care, a quality focused care operator with homes across the South East of England.
Founded by Janine and Scott Darling, PoC has over 100 service users and 250 full time staff at 24 properties throughout South Wales.
Greg Williams commented;
“PoC’s position as a leading provider of supported care from its multiple homes is a true testament to the level of commitment shown by Janine and Scott. Setting the highest level of care to service users and support to staff, was a clear mission statement at PoC and something I am sure that Mysa Care will be keen to build on. This was a great transaction to be part of and we wish all parties good luck for the future.”
Janine Darling said;
“The sale of PoC was a complex process but Greg and his team demonstrated professionalism, knowledge of the care sector and dedication to Scott and I throughout. We were well informed of progression throughout the period of the sale and the team were efficient at managing key aspects of a complex deal.
“The representation we received has been outstanding and succinct and their dedication and commitment to a successful outcome for us as shareholders has been truly satisfying. We wholly recommend any prospective clients considering engaging them to do so without hesitation.”
This is the latest in a number of transactions the Hugh James team has completed in the healthcare sector. As trusted advisors the team has worked with a number of clients across a broad range of health settings.
