Hugh James continues to boost its position in the independent UK legal directories, showcasing its excellence in the legal field. The firm has once again demonstrated its outstanding performance in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners rankings.
In the latest edition of Legal 500, released in October, Hugh James was recognised as a top-tier firm across 13 practice areas which now includes our highly regarded sports practice, bolstered by our acquisition of sports law specialists, Loosemores, earlier this year. We have also been ranked in new areas including rail and personal injury in the southeast.
Hugh James also improved position in Chambers and Partners UK again this year with 29 ranked departments and 61 ranked lawyers across the main directory and High Net Worth edition.
While we retained our bandings in most areas, our industrial disease team is now ranked in Band 1 for the UK, solidifying our expertise in this area, particularly in asbestos related cases. Also ranking Band 1 for Northwest are our colleagues in the Manchester office, the strong reputation our Potter Rees Dolan colleagues have built is now aligning with the Hugh James brand.
