In 2016 we became aware of the difficulties that our service personnel were facing when trying to access compensation for injuries they had received during their service via no fault schemes like the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS). In just five years we have been able to build a team of over 45 full time solicitors, paralegals and support staff dedicated to helping the military community. When the need is great, the response needs to be greater. That’s why we have dedicated roughly 6% of our business to this effort with others able to be drafted in from different specialisations all over the firm as the need arises.
It quickly became clear that those who serve our country in the various armed forces are themselves under served by the legal system in this country.
We have expanded our legal offering from where it started with workplace injuries and illnesses to now include a full range of legal services that have been specifically tailored to the unique needs faced by military personnel.
As part of this expansion to serve the full range of legal needs someone in the military might have, we have looked to partner with other businesses that also recognise the needs and unique strengths of this community. That’s why we are delighted to announce the launch of our partnership with Veteran Owned UK.
Veteran Owned UK is a veteran directory that supports veteran businesses for free. The directory is a portal where members of the public can search for veteran-owned businesses that either supply products or services. This is a portal that aims to encourage the public to support military personnel once they have left service and transitioned to a civvy street. We are proud to partner up with Veteran Owned UK and hope to encourage others to support veteran-owned businesses whenever possible. You can view our new profile of the Veteran Owned UK website here.
