We have retained our legal panel status with Mesothelioma UK for a further two years, in recognition of our specialist expertise in supporting people affected by asbestos-related cancer.
Mesothelioma UK is the leading charity supporting those affected by the condition. Mesothelioma is a type of malignant cancer which is caused by exposure to asbestos. Over 2,500 people are diagnosed with it every year in the UK.
The charity offers specialist information and education, as well as focusing on improving the care and treatment available to mesothelioma patients.
We have been working closely with Mesothelioma UK for years and were selected, alongside a handful of other specialist asbestos law firms, to be part of the inaugural legal panel, which was first formed in 2020.
In addition to being on Mesothelioma UK’s legal panel, we have been working with the charity to provide educational events and study days to raise awareness of mesothelioma and other asbestos related conditions.
Hugh James Partner and Head of Asbestos, Richard Green, said today:
“We’re delighted to continue the fight for victims of asbestos related disease as part of the Mesothelioma UK Legal Panel. We have the privilege of assisting those affected by mesothelioma to ensure that they have access to justice via the compensation process. Our team of asbestos disease solicitors has worked with Mesothelioma UK and its dedicated clinical nurse specialists for many years, advising patients and supporting education events.
Mesothelioma UK are at the forefront of helping those who suffer with mesothelioma both in the UK and beyond. We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with the charity and in particular working together on education and awareness events in the coming months and years.”
Commenting on the panel announcement, the CEO of Mesothelioma UK, Liz Darlison MBE, said today:
“Mesothelioma UK is eager to help and support patients in all matters related to their mesothelioma diagnosis including compensation. Engaging with an experienced, specialist law firm can make a significant difference to people living with mesothelioma which is why Mesothelioma UK works closely with a panel of specialist law firms. We are delighted Hugh James are remaining on the panel and look forward to continue working with them to do all we can to help and support people and families affected by mesothelioma.”
