For years we have, as a firm, supported and taken part in various challenges to support charities close to our hearts and we are delighted to be a partner of Cardiff Rugby Community Foundation, which is passionate about using sport to deliver change in the community, and improving and increasing opportunities.
We have in recent months been involved in supporting this fantastic charity with their various community sport events, which have included Visually Impaired Rugby/ Walking Rugby, Children’s Disability Six Nations Rugby and Wheelchair Rugby.
It was a real privilege to watch and take part in wheelchair rugby training session with our colleagues, Alun Jones, Ellice Harding, Ellis Meade and Catherine Morgan and whilst it was challenging trying to power and control the chair with the aim of scoring tries, it was brilliant fun!
It was great to see Mason Grady, James Botham and Josh Navidi of Cardiff Rugby getting involved and helping to raise awareness of this exhilarating inclusive sport ahead of the Euro 23 Wheelchair Rugby Championship in May at the Principality Stadium. Unexpectedly, we turned up to find a film crew from S4C so keep a look out for us on the ‘Heno’ show!
For anyone wants to get involved in wheelchair rugby training sessions in Cardiff, training takes place at Pentwyn Leisure Centre on Monday evenings 6-7pm.
