Hugh James celebrated two award wins at last night’s Personal Injury Awards – with Partner Richard Edwards picking up the “Catastrophic Injury Lawyer of the Year” gong and the Military Team recognised for Outstanding Achievement in their field.
Richard accepted the award for Catastrophic Injury lawyer of the year after an exceptional year assisting clients with the most severe injuries including in the case of Ashton v City of Liverpool YMCA which was shortlisted in the case of the year category.
The Military team took the centre stage once more in 2023 after winning numerous awards over the last few years, this time gaining recognition for their unrivalled expertise and outstanding contribution to supporting the lives of hundreds of former and current military personnel, and their families, who have suffered injury while on training exercises and/or serving their country.
At the ceremony held at the Hilton in Manchester, Thursday 23 November, the multi-award-winning serious injury and clinical negligence departments, based in England and Wales, were nominated for seven awards over six categories. The Awards are judged by an independent panel of experts who are chosen for their expertise and experience in personal injury.
