Mr Colin Moulton has been diagnosed with a life threatening asbestos related illness, mesothelioma. Sadly, Mr Moulton suffers from memory loss and is therefore unable to provide evidence about his exposure to asbestos to support his claim.
Mesothelioma is a terminal, asbestos-related cancer. Mr Moulton was exposed to asbestos during his working career. Mr Moulton spent his entire career, from 1950s to 1997 at BIC Construction Co Ltd (BICC) and predominantly worked at the BICC offices in Prescot. Mr Moulton worked in the draughtsman’s office and as part of his role he was required to visit projects on the factory floor in Prescot. Mr Moulton’s family understand that he came into contact with asbestos fibres during his time working in the BICC factory, particularly when he was required to visit projects and colleagues on the factory floor. We are accordingly appealing for witnesses who may be able to confirm the presence of asbestos containing materials on the factory floor and how asbestos fibres were released in these areas.
Mr Moulton’s family have now launched an appeal to try and trace his former colleagues in the hope that they can provide further information about the work he undertook and the working conditions in the factories.
It is believed that Mr Moulton came into contact with and worked in close proximity to dangerous asbestos materials during his employment with BICC. We are trying to help Mr Moulton’s family to trace his former colleagues so that we can gain a full understanding of where Mr Moulton was exposed to asbestos and the nature of the work undertaken by Mr Moulton.
