The specialist asbestos claims team at Hugh James have been instructed to pursue a civil compensation claim on behalf of the family of Mr Harold Baker, from Sherston in Wiltshire.
Harold Baker sadly died from the asbestos-related condition, mesothelioma, in May 2019, shortly after his diagnosis. The disease was very aggressive and the coroner recorded a verdict of death as a result of industrial disease.
Unfortunately, we were unable to carry out detailed investigations before Mr Baker died, but he did however confirm that he had been exposed to asbestos dust whilst working for PJ Hider at the Badminton Estates in Gloucestershire between 1973 and 1986. During this time, he worked on the renovation and maintenance of buildings on the Estate.
Mr Baker’s family are now looking for any former colleagues who can confirm how exposure to asbestos arose at the time, and ideally anyone who worked at the Estates at the same time as Mr Baker.
The Baker family has instructed specialist asbestos lawyers at Hugh James to investigate how Mr Harold Baker came in to contact with the hazardous material, asbestos. Former colleagues that knew Mr Baker, or anyone who worked at the Badminton Estates between 1973 and 1986 can get in touch with the firm by calling the asbestos team on 029 2039 1100.
