Laura is an Associate in the Court of Protection Team within the Neurolaw Department. Working within the Court of Protection Team Laura specialises in providing professional deputy input to those who lack the necessary capacity to manage and administer their own finances.
Work History
Having completed her Law Degree at The University of Exeter and her Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University, Laura joined Hugh James in 2007 working as a Paralegal in our Lender Services Department. Having gained two years’ experience within this Department Laura transferred to a Paralegal role within our Commercial Litigation Department. In 2011 Laura left the firm to join NewLaw Solicitors where she initially gained experience working as a Paralegal within the Road Traffic Accident Personal Injury Department, specialising in motorcycle claims. In 2013 Laura commenced her Training Contract at NewLaw Solicitors. Laura qualified as a Solicitor in 2015, securing a role as a Litigator on the Specialist Brain Injury Team within the Serious Injuries Department at NewLaw Solicitors.
In 2018 Laura returned to Hugh James where she re-joined the Lender Services Department as a member of the Senior Management Team. Within this role Laura was responsible for Operational Service Delivery and Customer Service. In 2021 Laura transferred to the Neurolaw Department where she joined the Court of Protection Team.
